About

Where Blaze Belongs was created from both current lived experiences and a deep understanding that many spaces simply aren’t built for neurodivergent individuals and their families.

Too often, families find themselves navigating environments that feel overwhelming, unsupported, or unwelcoming—leaving early, missing out, or feeling like they don’t quite fit in. We believe that should never be the case.

At its core, Where Blaze Belongs is about creating something different. Through sensory-friendly programs, community support, and thoughtfully designed environments, we are building spaces where individuals can be themselves, caregivers can breathe, and families feel truly understood.

This mission is deeply personal. It’s rooted in real experiences, real challenges, and the belief that every individual deserves access to spaces that meet them where they are—not the other way around.

We are currently building our first phase through community-based programs and support services, while working toward our long-term vision: a sensory-considerate retreat designed specifically for neurodivergent individuals and their families.

Because everyone deserves a place where they belong.

A place where he doesn’t have to fit in.

💙 Statement of Need

Autism spectrum disorder / neurodivergent diagnosis’ affects millions of individuals and families, yet access to comprehensive, ongoing support remains limited—particularly for families navigating early diagnosis and long-term care needs.

Caregivers often face overwhelming challenges, including:

  • Limited access to affordable therapies and services

  • Emotional and physical burnout

  • Lack of safe, supportive environments for their children

  • Uncertainty about long-term care for individuals with higher support needs

For many families, especially those with nonverbal children or individuals with significant sensory and behavioral challenges, traditional programs and community spaces are not equipped to meet their needs. This creates isolation not only for the individual but for the entire family.

Beyond the Label was created out of both personal experience and a recognized gap in services — the need for a safe, understanding, and supportive environment where individuals on the spectrum and their caregivers are not only accommodated, but truly supported.
